スウェーデンはグスタフスベリ製陶所に在籍した作家、スティグ・リンドベリの天目茶碗の写の様な小ぶりな碗作品です。所謂リンドベリ作品とは一線を画しておりますが、東洋古陶磁を写した、モールドと呼ばれるシリーズや陶芸一点物作品を残しており、高台のサインには、陶芸美術品に付けられるハンドマークやリンドベリ特有のマークが見られないことから、恐らくはモールドシリーズもしくは、テストピースであると推測されます。どちらにせよ、轆轤で作られた陶芸の一点物には違いなく、土と釉薬はリンドベリのもので、通常ほとんど市場には現れません。天目茶碗と同じく、鉄釉を還元と酸化焼成をコントロールしつつ、赤茶の色味と黒の色味を出し、禾目の様な釉の流れを作り上げております。形は、口縁が薄く浅く広がる、正円のもので、べたつき高台ではありますが、小さな高台は鋭く緊張感があります。 お茶碗としては小さなもので、大きな酒盃程度の大きさです。状態はたいへんによろしいものです。
This is a small bowl that looks like a copy of a Tenmoku tea bowl by Stig Lindberg, an artist who worked at the Gustavsberg pottery in Sweden. Although it is different from Lindberg's works, he left a series of works called "mold" or one-of-a-kind ceramic works, which are copies of old oriental ceramics. The signature on the high base is not signed with the Gustavsberg hand mark or Lindberg's signature, which is typical of ceramic art, so it is probably a "mold series" or a test piece. Either way, it is definitely a one-of-a-kind piece of pottery made on the potter's wheel, with clay and glaze by Lindberg, and usually rarely seen on the market. Like the Tenmoku tea bowl, the iron glaze is produced by controlling the reduction firing and oxidation firing to produce a reddish brown color and a black color, and the flow of the glaze like a hexagonal pattern is created. The shape is that of an equilateral circle with a thin, shallow mouth rim, and the small base is sharp and tense. It is small for a tea bowl, about the size of a large sake cup. The condition is very good.
