This is a miniature size yellow bowl by Berndt Friberg, an artist who worked at the Gustavsberg pottery in Sweden. The entire bowl is covered with a bright yellow glaze, over which a double layer of green glaze has been applied, blending with each other and flowing nicely throughout. At the bottom of the glaze, the glaze pools and a reddish brown expression appears, but it looks as if it is welling up, which is a highlight. The hair of the glaze is also very fine, and flows down from the mouth rim to the base. The shape is that of a regular circle with its mouth rim distorted by a finger, and when viewed from above, it has a soft rectangular shape. When viewed from the side, the mouth rim has a unique undulation, which is a standard Freiberg bowl shape. This is the last year of Friberg's work, and although it is a miniature, the mouth rim is thick, and the overall shape is loose and chubby as in the 70's, but the glaze is well done, and the price is modest for a Friberg piece. It is in very good condition.
