江戸時代に瀬戸で焼かれた半筒の茶碗です。箱には黄瀬戸と張り紙があり、破られておりますが、残念ながら黄瀬戸ではなく古い瀬戸焼きの様です。多くの呼び継ぎと直しが黄瀬戸と信じた所有者の思いを感じさせます。高台を見ますと、よく使い込まれた土をしておりまして、長い間、愛玩されて来たことも伺えます。たっぷりと深い見込みで、腰もわずかに広がっており、お茶が点てやすいのも特徴です。日々のお茶に使っていただきたい良い碗です。
This is a half-cylinder teacup fired in Seto during the Edo period. The box has a paper labeled Kizeto, which has been torn off, but unfortunately it is not Kizeto, but an old Seto ware. The many repairs show the owner's belief that it is Kizeto. Looking at the base, we can see that the clay has been well used and loved for a long time. The inside of the bowl is deep, making it easy to make tea. It is a good bowl to be used for daily tea ceremony.
