スウェーデンはグスタフスベリ製陶所に在籍した作家、ベルント・フリーベリのオーバル型で口縁がうねる、人気の高い碗作品です。全体に淡い青磁釉がかけられ、その上から薄い茶釉が二重掛けされて、 お互いが混ざり合い、全体を静かに流れております。淡い青磁色の釉薬が全体を静かに流れており、水彩画の様に淡く滲んだ表情です。口縁のみ釉薬が拭かれて、白い輪郭が現れております。釉の毛並みもチリチリとした細かなもので、 口縁から高台まできれいに流れ落ちております。 形は、きれいな正円の口縁を手捻りでオーバル型に歪めたもので、横からみますと美しくうねりを感じさせるものです。このうねりのある碗はフリーベリ作品の中でも最も人気のあるもので、代表的な形の一つでもあります。特にうねりの美しさと、釉薬の透明感は重要で、緊張感のある佇まいの作品は、より希少になります。状態はたいへんによろしいものです。
This is a popular oval-shaped bowl with an undulating rim by Bernd Friberg, an artist who worked at the Gustavsberg pottery in Sweden. The whole of the bowl is covered with a pale celadon glaze, over which a light brown glaze has been applied in double layers, mixing with each other and flowing gently over the whole. The pale celadon glaze flows quietly over the entire piece, giving it a watercolor-like, blotchy appearance. The glaze has been wiped off the mouth rim only, revealing a white outline. The furrows of the glaze are fine and flow down from the mouth rim to the base. The shape of the bowl is that of a beautiful regular circle with the mouth rim twisted by hand into an oval shape, which gives a beautiful undulation when viewed from the side. This undulating bowl is one of the most popular and representative forms of Friberg's work. The beauty of the undulation and the clarity of the glaze are particularly important, and pieces with a tense appearance are more rare. The condition is very good.
