デンマークは、ロイヤルコペンハーゲン製陶所に所属をしました作家、トーキッド・オールセンの絵付けの配されたカップ作品です。トーキッド・オールセンは、デンマークのロイヤルコペンハーゲンに、 絵付師として採用された作家で、 巨匠、ニールス・トーソンの右腕として、 数多くのシリーズの絵付けを担当いたしました。二人の作品はプロダクト品などの数物が主でしたが、ニールス・トーソンは中国や朝鮮の古陶磁に造形が深く、時より東洋陶磁を模した一点物の作品を残しており、トーキッドも同じようにごく稀に一点物作品を製作しておりまして、こちらのカップもその一つです。極薄手の白磁のカップに、光沢のある薄黄釉が塗られて、胴体には薄茶釉と素地の白を生かした有機的な文様が描かれておりますが、恐らくは二羽の鳥が描かれていると考えられます。底面サインはロイヤルコペンハーゲンのアート作品に入れられるものが記されています。状態もたいへんによろしいものです。
This is a cup painted by Thorkild Olsen, an artist who belonged to the Royal Copenhagen Pottery in Denmark. Thorkild Olsen was employed by Royal Copenhagen in Denmark as a painter, and as the right-hand man of the master Nils Thorsson, he was in charge of painting many series. Nils Thorsson was deeply interested in the ancient ceramics of China and Korea, and he sometimes left behind one-of-a-kind works that imitated oriental ceramics. This cup is one of them. The cup is made of ultra-thin white porcelain with a glossy light yellow glaze, and the body is painted with an organic pattern using the light brown glaze and the white of the base, probably depicting two birds. It is signed on the bottom as is usual for Royal Copenhagen artworks. The condition is very good.
