スウェーデンはグスタフスベリ製陶所に在籍した作家、ベルント・フリーベリの赤茶色の小振りな平鉢作品です。全体に赤茶の釉が掛けられ、その上から粘性の違う赤茶釉が二重掛けされて、お互いが混ざり合い、全体をきれいに流れております。口縁の釉は拭かれて、素地の白のグラデーションが美しく現れており見所です。この赤茶釉は特有の表情をしておりまして、グラデーションの消える様な流れ方と、弾ける様な釉薬の表情はどれも出来が良く、とても美しいものです。釉の毛並みはチリチリとした細かなもので、 口縁から高台まで流れ落ちております。形は、定番の碗なりのもので、きれいな正円で口縁が外側に開いております。見込みは浅く、平盃の様にお使いいただける作品です。状態はたいへんによろしいものです。
This is a small reddish brown flatware piece by Bernd Friberg, an artist who worked at Gustavsberg pottery in Sweden. The entire pottery is covered with a reddish brown glaze, which is then covered with a double layer of reddish brown glaze of different viscosity, which mixes with each other and flows nicely over the entire piece. The glaze on the rim of the mouth has been wiped away, and the gradation of the white of the base appears beautifully, which is a highlight. This reddish brown glaze has a unique expression, and the way the gradation flows like it is disappearing and the expression of the glaze as if it is popping are all well done and very beautiful. The furrows of the glaze are fine and flow down from the mouth rim to the base. The shape is that of a standard bowl, a beautiful regular circle with the mouth rim opening outward. It is shallow and can be used like a flat sake cup. The condition is very good.
