李氏朝鮮王朝時代後期に官窯の分院で作られた染付の小壺です。ほんのりと青味を帯びた白磁は、李朝白磁の特徴で、釉下にはコバルトで簡素な絵柄が描かれました。当時、絵付けの釉薬の原料であるコバルト原料は、たいへんに高価で、輸入のみに頼っていたため、贅沢に使用することができず、当初は薄めて使用していたほどでした。そのため、なるべく小さな絵付けで大きな余白をとって描いていましたが、その余白の白の美しさや、淡い青の染付は、なんとも素朴で、味わいがあり、手元に置いておくだけで心安らぎます。口に金直し、また絵付けの一つにひっつき跡があります。
This is a small vase with blue-and-white glaze made in a branch of the official kilns in the late Joseon Dynasty. The slightly bluish white porcelain is characteristic of Joseon dynasty white porcelain, and under the glaze, simple patterns were painted with cobalt. At that time, cobalt, the raw material for painting glaze, was very expensive and could not be used lavishly because it had to be imported. The beauty of the white margins and the pale blue dyeing are so simple and tasteful that it is comforting just to have them on hand. There is a gold repair on the mouth and a scratch mark on one of the paintings.
